Thank you for taking the time to visit my site! I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in History from Spring Arbor University and a Master’s degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. In both degrees, I researched different aspects of post-World War II evangelicalism in the United States, ranging from the movement’s intellectual life to its mission work. While I am still interested in the questions I explored in my undergraduate and MA theses, I now largely think, read, and write about how fundamentalists and evangelicals have found common political ground with their supposedly liberal opponents.
Most of my work has, however, been done in the classroom, which is my favorite intellectual space. Where else can you learn, unlearn, and learn anew each time you walk through some doors?
